The Diagnodent laser system is a new breakthrough in dental disease detection. Before its use about fifty percent of cavities went unnoticed. Now ‘suspicious’ areas that look like stains but might be decay become know entities.
Dr. Hoffmann uses the Diagnodent laser light to harmlessly, and precisely, find unhealthy areas on the teeth. One of the most difficult areas to detect this is on the chewing surfaces. Because we can now uncover disease in these areas more consistently we can prevent more tooth loss. All this is done safely, painlessly and without exposure to x-rays.
