No-drill dental technology, called air abrasion, eliminates
the discomfort that comes from the heat and vibration of a dental drill.
It helps us remove decay in its earliest stages. It is especially effective
with small and medium size areas of decay because fewer patients need
numbing injections. It also helps in preparation for esthetic procedures.
Only a stream of air-pressured, minuscule particles
comes in contact with your teeth. These safe particles are found in
many food items. The only noise you’ll hear is the whisper-quiet hum
of the air compressor and vacuum that removes excess particles. Because
we have much more control in smaller areas when using this technology,
we can remove only what is decayed rather than healthy tooth structure.
We are not able to use this in every procedure, but our sedation and
relaxation therapies can help us bridge those other situations.
